TNT's Trust Me, New Drama Series About An Ad Agency Creative Team

Trust Me
premieres Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on TNT.

Well, if you're not getting enough drama in the ad agency where you work, starting in January, you'll be able to enjoy even more agency drama during prime time. That's right, another new TV show about the ad agency world is about to hit the airwaves. And unlike Mad Men, this one actually takes place after the invention of the Mac.

Tom Cavanagh who starred in one of my all-time favorite TV shows, NBC's Ed, will be starring in TNT's, Trust Me, a new series which the official site describes as,"a sharp, witty drama series that centers on two best friends working as creative partners at a top-ranked Chicago ad agency."

Set against the backdrop of the high-pressure world of advertising, Trust Me focuses on Mason (Eric McCormack from NBC's Will and Grace), an art director, who is a responsible, workaholic family man with a beautiful wife, Erin (Clarke), two children and an undying loyalty to the brands he helps sell.

By contrast, his writing partner, Conner (Cavanagh), is described as "a single, impulsive copywriter with the attention span of a teenager."

Hmm, a single, impulsive copywriter over the age of 40 with a short attention span–what will those TV writers dream up next?
